Vamana

One of the bio purification method mentioned in ayurveda. It is Drug induced vomiting done as a treatment procedure for Kapha dominant diseases. It requires a poorva karma of snehapana for maximum 7 days followed by one day Vishramakala , during which Kapha dominant diet will be given. Vamana is beneficial in bronchial Asthma, Psoriasis, depression etc.

Virechana

It is Drug induced Purgation done as a treatment procedure for Pitta and Vata dominant diseases. It requires a poorva karma of snehapana for maximum 7 days followed by 3 day Vishramakala, during which Abhyanga(external Oleation) and special diet will be given. Virechana is beneficial in Psoriasis, Gastritis, Arthritis, Varicosity, Gout, Hormonal Disorders, etc.

Nasya (Nasal Medication)

Nasya is one of the Panchakarmas where nasal medications is administered to the patient. There are different types of Nasya like cleansing, nourishing, protective etc. It works specifically on disorders of ear, nose and throat. Diseases like Chronic Sinusitis, Migraine, Cervical Spondylosis, Facial Paralysis, cosmetic purposes, early greying etc nasya is practiced.

Basti (Medicated Enema )

Basti is one of the major and commonly practiced Panchakarma. Here Medicated Enema are being administered to the patient after assessing his/her condition. Different enemas are present which would be decided by the physician acourding to the disease of the patient. It relieves constipation, distension, sexual disorders, kidney stones and other pains in the joints.

Raktamokshanam( Blood letting)

Rakta Mokshana is a blood purificatory method which is being practiced in ayurveda since years. Rakthamokshana is practised in blood born diseases, in Pitta predominant diseases and also in a few vata disorders. Many materials and methods have being told for Rakthamokshana out of Jalukavacharna and Siravyadha.

It is an Ayurvedic procedure which has received global acceptance. Application of medicated oils on the individuals body and massaging it in specific maneuvers. Bhaspa Sweda, Nadi Sweda, Avagaha

It is the induction of sweating for therapeutic purposes. Swedana liquifies the doshas, clears the obstruction of channels of circulation and directs the doshas to selective places from where they can be expelled easily. Different methods of providing sudation are available, steam box, bath tub etc which is done after abhyanga as a course.

Naranga Kizhi (Jambeera pinda sweda)

Jambeera is an Ayurvedic term for wild lemon or citrus medica. Mutta Kizhi ( Anda Sweda)

It is a type of Ushma Sweda, in this Bolus(Potali) is made with Egg as the main ingredient, hence it got the name as Anda Sweda. It is the process by which the whole body is made to perspire by external application of kukuda anda (hens egg) and some choornas in the form of bolus tied up in cloth. Done in cases where some trauma is involved.

Pizhichil (Kaya seka)

The pouring of bearable hot liquids such as medicated oil, ghee, decoction, urine, sour fermented liquid or milk on the patients body from a particular height is known as pariseka. Oil pariseka and Dhanyamla pariseka is the commonly practiced procedure. The medicaments are fixed according to the patients condition only by a physician.

Kati Basti, Janu Basti, Greeva Basti

kati basti is the treatment for chronic back pain, lower back spasms, degenerative spondilosis and nerve pains. A pool of medicated lukewarm oil is kept at particular places on patients body where pain is there. The oil will be periodically heated to maintain its warmth. Its done on low back , whole spinal cord, knee joints, neck, chest etc.

Uro Basti

Uro Basti is also called as "Hridaya Basti". The medicated oil is retained on the chest wall which gives a positive influence on the heart chakra which in turn has a beneficial effect on the mind and gives strengthening effect to the heart muscle. This therapy nourishes, strengthens, balances heart function and rejuvenates the heart through Hridaya marma.

Netra Seka, Tarpana, Putapaka, Aschotana

Netra seka or also called as netra dhara has been given a fundamental importance in ayurveda for the treatment of various eye diseases. These are done in disease condition and also to maintain the wellness of eyes. Herbal decoctions ,oils, milk etc are used for different conditions which are specifically indicated for eye diseases. Gives the freshness to the eyes
